This is an old shot from my stock. I haven't gone out for a serious capturing mission for a while. Perhaps it's because of the season or the chaos happening in my work environment. No matter what, I just feel the mood is not with me. I'm longing for the coming ANZAC long weekend so I can get rid of all the mess, go out and do something I like the most.
By the way, for those who don't know what is ANZAC, it means "Australian and New Zealand Army Corps" and the coming long weekend is a yearly event to mark the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War.2008-04-23
I believe our human mind exists in balance. Everything has its own opposition to coexist in our mind in order to settle the equilibrium. We have experienced bad so we know what is good. We can feel sad, so we treasure what happiness brings to us. Without the opposition, all our senses become meaningless.
Nowadays, people are asking for a better world. We pray for peace because there is an opponent called conflicts. We ask for more just because there is something called 'less'. I don't think that the world is getting worse and neither is our standard of moral and humanity. If it is, it has already been so since the existence of human beings. If there is something to be blamed, it would be our natural born ability of having individual judgments, feelings and preferences to form our ideal equilibrium world.2008-04-18
