I grew up in a metropolis, Hong Kong and I chose to live in Toowoomba, a rural region in Australia. When I first came here, I had to adapt to the new living style and environment. Everything was new to me but I loved the feeling of being a stranger, breathing new air and capturing unfamiliar scenes. It may be an usual thing for country people living in a house with front and backyards. But for a city boy like me, it was exciting with walking out from my living place without going through the transit by a lift. I drew this picture capturing a moment on my porch when the sun casts a shadow on the bricks and my front door.
